Disabling Guest Accounts
To Disable the Guest Account:
- Select the Start button on the lower, left hand side of the screen.
- From the menu that pops up, select the Settings submenu and
select the Control Panel option. This will open the Control Panel
window.
- In the Control Panel window, select Users and Passwords.
- In the Users and Passwords window, select the Advanced tab.
- In the section titled Advanced User Management, click the button
labeled Advanced. This will open the window labeled Local Users
and Groups
- In the new window, select the Users folder, this will bring
up the list of system users.
- Right-Click on the Guest account and select Properties
- Turn on the checkbox labeled Account is Disabled
- Click the Apply button and then close all of the various windows.
